Well the new Foxy Bingo advert launched today and thanks to YouTube we have been able to take a look. The question is this ‘Is Foxy the one that you want?’ and in our opinion, not if the new look Foxy Bingo mascot is anything to go by! The digitally enhanced image of the loveable canid has lost all the charm of the previous star of the Foxy Bingo ads.

Whilst the background music is bound to get people looking up from their newspaper or laptop when it airs on the small screens, the new Foxy Bingo commercial, in our humble opinion, has lost its edge. The infamous Grease song, ‘ You’re The One That I Want’, that has many people up and dancing at parties is the theme tune for the new advert but is it as memorable as ‘Funky Town’?

The biggest disappointment in the new Foxy Bingo advert is that the mascot has lost some of his appeal; no longer does he look suave and sophisticated in a cute type of way but in the new Foxy Bingo advert he takes on a lecherous persona. Watch him dancing behind ‘Mandy’ down the aisle with his tongue hanging out and you will see what we mean!

So whilst Foxy’s balls may be multiplying we don’t think that the viewer interest in the commercial will remain. However, the brand and mascot have massive recognition already so the internet bingo site shouldn’t see a loss in sign ups.
