National Bingo Game

The National Bingo Game was first launched at land based bingo clubs in June 1986 and has proved popular with many bingo players simply because it offers them the chance of winning huge jackpots in a game that links multiple clubs together to play bingo. Of all the clubs involved the first player throughout the UK to call bingo in the lowest amount of numbers will win the jackpot on offer in the National Bingo Game.

The launch of the National Bingo Game in 1986 required new legislation through Parliment and a completely new Bingo Act. Players who wish to participate in the National Bingo are offered the chance to play 364 days a year, twice a day, seven days a week at all the clubs dotted around the UK that have chosen to participate in this game.

In 2008 the Gala Bingo halls made the decision to remove their clubs from the linked game in favour of in house game for Gala Bingo members only meaning that the chances of winning for players increased. The best known name to participate in a linked game has to be Mecca Bingo but many independant bingo halls also participate in the game daily.

The information shown below is now out of date, we are currently working on updating this page.

We have seen many changes to the National Bingo Game since its inception and currently the game links approximately 300 clubs throughout the UK in their bingo sessions.Should you be lucky enough to find yourself a big winner you will be asked to collect your cheque in person from the club that you were lucky enough to win in. The winning cheque is usually dispatched to the winning club 10 days after the win has been checked and verified.

Whilst that National Bingo Game is currently restricted to land based bingo halls there are rumours around the world of online bingo that it is soon to launch into the world of internet bingo. Whilst this has yet to come to fruition they is much speculation about the criteria a online bingo site must meet to be involved in the National Bingo Game online. Part of that speculation is that the bingo sites wishing to participate must be using the Virtue Fusion bingo software. Whether this rumour becomes a reality is yet to be seen.

For now though the National Bingo Game is available to play in many bingo halls up and down the country so why not pop along to your local bingo hall, with the exception of Gala Bingo, and join in the fun.
